In Which I Invoke the Voth

Screw the "Dinosauroid." Star Trek: Voyager taught us that one branch of the Dinosauria escaped Earth before the K-Pg extinction and traveled to the Delta Quadrant. They are the Voth, and they evolved from lambeosaurines. I think pachycephalosaurs would be an equally-good alternative.

Why do I bring this up? Oh, no reason. I've just been revisiting my "DinoNoir" idea lately. I think it's got legs, and I'd like to restart its engine.

In fact, the Voth actually look more humanoid than the Dinosauroids. At least the dinosauroids had a bit of a snout and looked remotely dinosaur-like. The Voth look more like someone dressed in a rubber suit trying to be a wrinkly old man while painted in green paint. Then again, this is Star Trek...

Voth: "I am a Hadrosaur-person! (awkward pause) I AM! This is what Hadrosaurs look like!"

Ah, "Voyager". Possibly the trippiest and most "oh, what the hell" "Star Trek" series since... the first one..? Anyway, nothing beats "Threshold" for sheer WTF.

Yeah, "Threshold" has the distinction of being one of, if not THE most reviled episode in all of Star Trek. Should I ever get around to watching the entire series on Netflix like I did with Next Generation, I am going to tie Scott to the couch during this particular episode and watch gleefully as he bleeds from his eyes.

Holy shit dude that episode was AWESOME! Haven't seen that in like a hojillion years, the Voth doctor guy was like a futuristic Galileo. They gave him a little tiny globe! It was so sad!
