Fallout 3, By the Way, is Kickass

Went to a Bethesda big-screen presentation of Fallout 3 today. Among other things, you can target specific body parts on enemies and do what the screenshot shows. Fallout 3 is beyond awesome, Erik. My GOD, it's gorgeous. It comes out in late October. I am PSYCHED.

Targeting individual body parts makes a poor substitute for story and art.

But then, I'm realizing that neither of those things is what video games are necessarily good at doing. (Not since Myst and Riven, anyway). (Or, at least, neither of those things are good at what games makers are good at doing.)

And since games are becoming more and more expensive than movies, shouldn't we at least start holding them to similar standards?

T-E-H Shiznit sir. That's about all you have to say.

And Scotte, my goodness for storyline, try Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic, both one and two. Plus who can forget good old Snake. These games have more entertainment value that most movies. Try 100+ hours of enjoyable gameplay that constantly changes. Well worth the money.

Fallout 3 is a must purchase. In my opinion.
